Jo is an engaging poet and spoken word artist, writer, actress, comedic improviser, an online movie reviewer and much more…
She has worked with and established her acting talent as a live literature artist through training with Renaissance One (London) and has been commissioned in the East Midlands as a poet, writer and performer as well as mentored by the late Jean Binta Breeze MBE. Her work includes a commissioned poem for the Mountaintop Play presented at the Derby Guildhall (2011).
Jo has a Sunday show on Derby Sound Online Community Radio and has been an Ambassador for Derby Theatre and is currently a Non-Executive Director with Anansi Theatre Company.
Jo has been a community actor for Derby Theatre and loves sharing at open mic events as wellbeing commissioned for special events like hosting thecRetro Feva 80s Show at Landau Forte (2022).
Through her development and training experience, commissions, volunteering within the community, she inspires through her charismatic presence – allowing more connection and rapport for joyful upliftment and inspiration.
