Community Nature Wellbeing Activities

An amazing opportunity for people who love the countryside.
Outdoor Adventures on privately owned land in the Derbyshire Dales,
Enjoy fun activities or simply relax in peaceful surroundings.
So join us and sample the idyllic Derbyshire countryside on our doorstep.

…Activities include…

Bushcraft

Including fire lighting/ tree and bird identification/ a walk around the site plus an intro to foraging – wild garlic, mushrooms, nettles, sorrel, etc. Finish with a hot drink around a campfire.

Green Woodland Workshop

Introduction woodworking using traditional woodland tools like a shaving horse.  You can split and cleave wood to make a simple bird box, spoons and other items out of natural wood sourced on site.

Forest Bathing

Slowly wonder the site, maybe find a tree or spot you like or even hang in a hammock and take in the sounds and sense of the woodland.

Rambling

Take a walk around the 20,000 square metre site set in a majestic woodland.

Cooking Outdoors

An introduction to cooking on an open wood fire.

Children’s Activities

As above plus den making (equipment supplied). Please note children must have parental supervision.

Orientation Games

Find and photograph four specified objects dotted around the site, with a map as a guide. Fun for all.

Please note:

• Activities will start from 10:30 and finish at 14:00
• Option to stay on site until 16:30
• Refreshments provided.
• Certified instructors deliver and supervise all activities.
• Enhanced DBS and Children’s Safeguarding Policies in place
• Cost are subsidised, although a nominal fee will be charge to secure your place

There will be 4 taster sessions, primarily held on a Saturday or Sunday between May ‘25 and October ’25.

Although week days are available during school holidays.
