Year 2 & Year 6 SATs Booster Classes

What will the classes offer?

We are excited to announce our SATs Booster Classes for Year 2 and Year 6 pupils, running from February to May 2025. These sessions are designed to provide targeted support in Maths, Reading, and SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar) to help pupils build confidence, strengthen key skills, and achieve their full potential in their upcoming SATs assessments.

What the Booster Classes Will Offer:

• Focused Revision Sessions: Tailored lessons addressing key areas of the SATs curriculum.
• Small Group Support: Personalized attention to address individual learning needs.
• Practice with SATs Questions: Familiarisation with exam formats and question types.
• Effective Exam Strategies: Techniques to manage time, approach questions, and reduce exam anxiety.
• Interactive and Engaging Activities: Fun and dynamic learning tasks to maintain focus and motivation.

Subject Focus:

• Maths: Problem-solving skills, arithmetic fluency, and reasoning techniques.
• Reading: Comprehension strategies, vocabulary building, and inference skills.
• SPaG: Grammar rules, punctuation accuracy, spelling techniques, and writing clarity.

Support Beyond Academics:

We understand that preparing for SATs can be challenging, so our sessions will also focus on:

• Building confidence and resilience in tackling challenging tasks.
• Developing a growth mindset to approach assessments positively.
• Providing emotional support to reduce stress and boost self-belief.

Who Can Join?

Classes are open to Year 2 and Year 6 pupils who would benefit from additional support ahead of their SATs.

(We now offer Yr 5 pre-SATs support, following requests received)

Classes will run between February 2025 and May 2025 in Derby (Central)

Weekly Classes

From the 25th February 2025

17:00 to 19:00

Then every following Tuesday until 6th May 2025
